Really Huge Trees

That's what you're going to see, although there are many interesting facets of the park, including forests, ferns, lagoons, and the ocean. But the park gets its name from the giant redwoods that thrive in the cool wet climate along the western coast of northern California.

The scenery is often stunning, but this is one of the most difficult parks to see via scenic roads. Many of the roads are one lane, gravel roads in awful conditions. Some turns aren't marked particularly well, and getting to the park from some of the larger cities (i.e. Redding) is a long process. But like many of our national treasures, this is worth the hassle to see at least once in your life.

Interesting tips! You chose a different approach than us and saw different sights. We are satisfied with what we saw, but next time we can follow your tips and see even more :-)
