I visited Joshua Tree over a couple of days in early April. I found this to be a great park - really two parks in one. The northern half of the park is the Mojave desert, teeming with Joshua Tree forests. The southern half is the Colorado desert, which is much more like what I would consider a sterotypical desert - dry and barren. There are many nifty rock formations that pepper the park, inviting people to do some climbing. There are also plenty of short nature trails that have plenty to see.
Please see my travelogues for additional pictures of the Joshua trees and some spectacular colors in the sky... |
