"Pictured Rocks" Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore by PinkFloydActuary

In the summer of 2007, we decided to take a tour of some of the areas in the UP. Our first destination was Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. I saw a picture of Miner's Castle in a national parks calendar and knew I wanted to visit. There are a number of short, scenic trails to hike, and there are a few primitive roads we didn't drive on, but we did manage to hit a good number of the highlights. The big word of warning - take a picnic lunch, because there isn't much outside of Munising and the selection of places in Grand Sable isn't much to write home about either!

A nice little page on your Lake Superior shores experiences! That is a good collection of pretty waterfalls with some nice foliage to boot! Log Slide Overlook looks interesting too. I just finished driving the north shore of Superior.
