The small Historcial Town of Oakley, Idaho was established in 1878, with the first Family "wintering" there. Oakley lies in a valley floor of the "Goose Creek Mountains," 20.4 miles south of Burley, Idaho. The Cemetery pictured was established in 1882, & is a fairly small Cemetery constructed of much local popular "rock" that is mined & sold directly from the Town of Oakley itself.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Wonderful "Western" area to go "sight-seeing" in...
  • Cons:Poplular for diamond-back Rattlesnakes, & rough, dirt roads!
  • In a nutshell:A popular place to go for long drives, to view the surrounding areas & hills beyond.
