The hotel had very nice facilities, the staff was very helpful, and it was extremely clean. It was located across the street from a Metro stop, which made it accessible from anywhere in the city, and it was located on a square that had plenty of restaurants.
Unique Qualities: When there was a problem with our wake-up call and missed our plane out of Paris, the manager was very accomodating and gave us a room for free for the night. We had spent all of our money on a taxi to the airport to try to make the flight, and the staff was extremely understanding and helpful.

Aloha Hostel: Friendly confines

The Aloha hostel was the hostel I stayed at my first time in Paris. The people staying in the hostel were very nice and accepting. They invited me to hang out when I was traveling on my own. I didn't have any problems with stealing and the accomodations, although not the best hostel I stayed at, were ok. There are internet stations available for a small fee, and a bar to hang out at after curfew (2am).

I was not very impressed with the 3 Ducks Hostel in Paris. For being one of the "best hostels in Europe", it did not even compare to the others I stayed at in Rome, Dublin, and Amsterdam. The staff was not very friendly and the sleeping and showering facilities were among some of the worst I used in my travels. I do not recommend.
