Welcome! Wilcommen! Bienvinidos! Genki! Welcome to my travelholic VT page, where my goal is to shade in the entire VT map. There are so many amazing places out there to see, so many amazing cultures to experience, and just not enough time to see them all. Above is a picture of me on my travels. I like to go in style, so only rent the best of transportation and accomodation. This one was great for when the weather turned or I was tired and fancied a quick nap. |
Jungle Fever...Central and South America, I love exploring Central and South America as there is such diversity in this area and so much to see - exploring the jungles and rainforests so rich in biodiversity, relaxing on the tropical beaches, exploring the history rich cities and towns, and spending time with the indiginous tribes. Nothing beats experiencing nature first hand in Central and South America though. Some of my best experiences have been staying with the Embera and Kuna tribes in Panama, hiking to the foot of Angel Falls in Venezuela and taking in the amazing surroundings of Canaima, and exploring the mayan settlements in Belize and Mexico. These areas have so much to offer. |
Darling its Better, Down Where its Wetter.. ..take it from me, lalalalaala... ok, no more Disney songs, me singing is making the cats sing too. When you visit land, you are only seeing half of what there is to see.... under the sea is a completly different world and can often be just as amazing, if not more. The coral reefs and amazing ocean life can sometimes leave you breathless (especially if you tank runs out of O2) and can be the highlight of a trip. I love to mix up my holidays with time on land and time under the sea. Feeding nurse sharks, playing with stingrays (they are like the puppy dogs of the ocean), visiting ship wrecks, and watching some of the bizarre underwater creatures is a real delight. |
..ARRRRRRRR, An Ugly Human, How Scary One of the highlights of any trip is seeing the native wildlife. I am not a big fan of visiting zoo's as I like to see animals zooming around in their natural habitat. How much better can things get when you look up and see Howler monkey's peering down at you, when a nurse shark brushes past you in the sea, when a snake slithers past your feet on the jungle floor, or when a puffer fish blows up like a golf ball shocked by my funny face. |
What About the Concrete Jungle Sir? When traveling from country to country, I also enjoy experiencing the different ways of life in the cities, watching the people as they go about their daily routines, and admiring the multitude's of different architectural designs. However, a couple of days in a big city and I am ready to hop back into nature again to see the real wonders (not that the Pyramids in Cairo are not real wonders). When you can see wonderful buildings and structures within the jungles though, what more could you ask for... the Mayan pyramids in the Central American jungles, Machu Pichi tucked away in the Peruvian mountains, and castles tucked away in the hills of Europe are truely spectacular and facinating to gaze upon. Amazing man made wonders combined with the wonder of nature. |
England, Where the Heart Is England must come first as it is my birthplace and country. Although I left to escape the rainy weather and to explore the rest of the world, England it still where the heart is. Such a tiny island but so much to offer - amazing scenery, history everywhere you look, the best cuisine (hehehe), the greatest nightlife, and fantastic shopping. If you visit England, don't miss the center of England - Warwick, Stratford, nottingham, and the Peak District.. there is more to see than just London (even though London is brilliant). |
| Humm, so what shall I offer for this real estate |
Japan, The Raw (Get it? Sushi, Dear Me) Experience Japan has so much to offer and a facsinating history. I spent 4 weeks traveling around Tokyo, Kyoto, Fukuoka, and Kagoshima. Tokyo was amazing to see.. it is a really interesting city with so many very distinct areas. Kyoto is best seen in the fall when the leaves are changing. This combined with the beautiful temples and shrines makes for a photographers dream. Kagoshima is a much slower pace than Tokyo, and is considered the countryside. The Volcano is Kagoshima is over 2 miles across and is all steaming and glowing. The surrounding countryside makes for a very picturesque area. |
... Making your Voice High Pitched Riding a camel in the Sinai was one of the most painful experiences and is sure to leave most men with a high pitched voice. I was so glad after I opted for the short ride. Most people avoid the Middle East all together because of the one-sided news reports. However, most places are very different to how they are portrayed. There are so many wonderful places to visit in areas such as Jordan, Oman, UAE, Sinai... and many other locations. |
