Some travel things about me My first overseas trip was in 1991 – a 12 week trip through Europe and stop-over in the USA. I shopped, drank , ate and partied my way through thanks to a crazy Contiki tour. I still have friends from that tour.
My Favourite Country – Peru (1998) an amazing place with a culture completely unlike my country.
My Favourite City – Hanoi, Vietnam, the old quarter is a labyrinth where old meets new which I hope that it remains that way.
My Favourite Continent – Asia I love the whole east meets west culture clash and I have not travelled to any other continent since 1998, there is too much to see and do.
My Favourite Ultimate Destination – Bali, I never got the whole Bali thing before I went but once I went I fell in love with this wonderful island. If there was only one place that I could travel to for the rest of my life it be Bali. Next trip Dec 08 staying at luxury Villa in Seminyak .
My Favourite tourist attraction – Machu Picchu, to see the sun rise over the mountains was truly magical!
My Favourite big City – Bangkok has so much energy.
My Favourite Australian City (other than Melbourne) – Perth, the sky is so blue, grass is green (unlike Melbourne), people are incredibly friendly, hardly any cars on the road and just has a great vibe about it. |
| | Likes and dislikes My Favourite Music (well what I'm listening to currently)- Nick Cave, Nina Simone, Jens Leckman and Vital Bits Sat/Sun 6.00am - 9.00am 3RRR.
My Favourite TV Show - Project Runway, Australian Story, Most things on Travel & Food Channel.
My Favourite Radio Stations - I love radio as a media medium you can hear and listen to things that TV just does not cover. 3RRR, PBS FM, ABC 774. My Favourite Foods - I love food so the list is huge but when I feel low or run down you cant beat a Laksa.
My Favourite Book - One Hundred Years of Solitude , Gabriel Garcia Marquez - a wonderfully whimsical book about a Colombian family's struggle throughout one hundred years. It always makes me smile when I think of this book it was so engaging to read. |
