A small town by US standards, Lewiston and Auburn stride the once mighty Androscoggin river. A mill town in its past life it is today a building community with a spur of significant growth and rebuilding of not-long-ago delapitated buildings.
The tourist will find little here of interest beyond the mills, which are not organized in a tourist format, and the cathedral.
There's nothing like spending a night on a mountain... with bugs...
This is from April 2006.. taken through the tent mesh... with black flies galore...
Come with DEET. 95%, preferably..
