Patty, Tom, Pam and Ken enjoy a Guinness in Dublin

My friends Patty, Tom, Ken and I visited Ireland in July and August of 2005. We spent a day in Dublin and then took a train to Galway. In the town of Oughterard in County Galway we rented a thatched roof cottage for a week. From there we drove to places in County Galway and County Mayo including Galway, Roundstone, Cong, Clifden, and Connemara National Park. We also took a ferry to Inis Mor (Inishmore), one of the Aran Islands.

Northern Ireland

My friends dropped me off in Northern Ireland (County Fermanagh) so I could attend a family reunion. The landscape in County Fermanagh is less rocky than County Galway. The cottage you rented looks so nice. Was it just as nice on the inside? Are there any major sights near the cottage say within 50 miles?
