One of the oldest churches of Rome is Trinita dei Monti. When French owners of the church wanted to connect building with Piazza di Spagna, they also wanted to do it splendid. First plan was a statue of a French king actually. But Pope Alexander VII didn't accept those ideas. Around 1720s, Italian architecture Sanctis found a way that makes happy both side. Curved and splendid steps. It's named as Spanish cause Spanish consulate located there. Spagna subway station is very close to this square and steps. If you're tired or you wanna drink cool water this is right place for you.

Biggest fountain of Rome is "Fontana di Trevi". This fountain that includes full of coins has always as many visitors as coins inside during daytime, even at nights. You know the story about coins. But the fact that this fountain was built (1762) for becoming a nice work of art on Pope's route to his summer resort actually. Anyhow the story about coins and love is for a nice purpose. It also brings people from all around the world to there for same reasons. So it is very important to bring people together ;) There are 2 Tritons bridle horses. When a horse symbolizing calmness, the other one is for flooding of seas. Do not miss one of the reliefs above shows a girl indicating source of water (Aqua Virgo). And also 2 angels at your right side (south-east corner of square) when you're looking at the fountain.

Piazza Venezia surrounded with full of museums (Palazzo Venezia, Palazzo Nuovo and Palazzo dei Conservatori), churches, statues and work of arts. Main monument here is a huge monument of Vittorio Emanuele. It was built in 1885 and dedicated (1911) to Vittorio Emanuele who was the first king of united Italy. You can see his bronze statue there. After building, there have been many discussions about its architecture. Cause it has various styles of architectural works. Some professionals say the building was senseless when you see history and great work of arts all around the square. But in my opinion it doesn't annoy me anyway. Looks great though its huge size, especially at nights ;) So it worths to see.

This Bernini made building is a parliament. There's an obelisk at south entrance of building. This sundial has an interesting story. In ancient Rome, time was measured random. They had been using a faulty sundial since years. So Emperor Augustus decide to build a giant sundial to Piazza di San Lorenzo in Lucina. But after many years, this sundial get sink into ground and couldn't work properly neither. Years later it is found underground in Pope Julius II times and Pope Benedictus XIV decide to set it up into Piazza di Montecitorio square at south of parliament building. You can still see points and iron marks on the floor around obelisk.

The temple was built for Emperor Hadrian by Antoninus Pius. You can still see some columns at south side of Piazza di Pietra. It's compounded with a 17th century building. The building was used as Papal Customs in 1700s, now part of the Stock Exchange of Rome (la borsa). This is also a stop on the way of Pantheon. There are some street artists and small fountain where you can drink some cool water at small square.

It was transformed into a church in medieval times. On the contrary of its exterior, it has got new-looking and magnificent marbles inside. The only light source is a hole at top (oculus). Also there are tombs under magnificent statues. One of the important one is Rafaello's tomb under Madonna statue.
