Didsbury is a nice village in South Manchester where you can find a lively nightlife, a few decent pubs, and fantastic restaurants.

It's where I live and work, and though I enjoy going into town some weekends, it's often nicer to spend my time someplace that isn't rammed shoulder-to-shoulder. And given the choice to eat in town, or in Didsbury, I will almost always choose Didsbury - we're spoiled for choice.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Pretty little village with stuff to keep you occupied.
Cons:Out of the centre, if that kind of thing bothers you.
In a nutshell:Not a tourist destination, which means it's not overrun with tourists!
