We stopped in Dubai for 4 nights after a trip to Kerala and the Maldives..We stayed at the Riveria Hotel in Deira which was a really nice location..right across from the creek and the Abra Station....From the skyscrapers and shopping malls to the souks and abras ( a small wooden boat that transports passengers over the Creek between Deira and Bur Dubai.)there is something for everyone... .We used the Big Bus Company and taxi's to get around....
Between the Souks and the shopping malls, most of the time we were shopping..And when we weren't shopping, we were thinking about where we should shop next!!

The highlight for me was the evening out we had at the Al Hadheerah Desert Restaurant...It was an awesome evening out an an open air Arabic restaurant complete with an Arabic buffet, belly dancers, camel riding, shisha and henna painting...

Also really liked the Madinat Jumeirah Arabian Resort, which had a souk with 75 shops and some really good restaurants...The property which was made up of network of waterways and beautiful landcaped gardens made it an ideal place to spend a few hours shopping and then have a drink and something to eat!!

Although i seemed to have taken a ton pictures of the Burj Al Arab, we did not go inside..But it makes a great picture!!
