A Prelude:
Before we delve into the beauty of this enchanting spa village, we need to explain a little something. The two of us are extremely competitive! We pick a game and before you know it, we are at it, trying to outdo the other. Of course it's all in jest and it keeps us always laughing and teasing. Not sure if this is what keeps us so interested in the other at all times. But it works.
That's exactly what happened here in Semmering. One of the main wishlists of Ash when we visited Austria in Jan 2005 was to try his hand (or rather his foot) at skiing. He'd never done any before and he was so anxious, we just had to go and hope he didn't break his neck while at it! What follows is an account of this small trip of ours.
