Hailed as the land of Rafflesia, the biggest flower in the world, it has a Rafflesia Conservation Centre. A small town with mostly agricultural and eco-tourism activities, it's a serene little town. Call the centre : 087-774691 to check on the availability of the bloom. The centre is on the side of the road of Kota Kinabalu (KK) - Tambunan.
The limelight was stolen by the Mt. Kinabalu, which is now becoming more and more commercialized. This hidden treasure is not known to most of the peple as it's not easily accessible as compared to Kinabalu. However, due to this fact, the scenery and experience is definitely one notch higher than KK.
