Life in this city is safe and sane

Every evening when I turn onto the street that leads up the hill to my apartment I'm thrilled to be living here. I come from Oregon, which in itself is a beautiful place to live but so is Okinawa City. The little neighborhood shops, restaurants and taverns are all charming and filled with polite and friendly people.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Beautiful views of the ocean, moderate weather, friendly people.
Cons:Typhoons from May - Sept

Was last on the island in 1968. Would love to go back. Some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.
