Restaurant Name: Mohandes
Cheap and cheerful is the word for this restaurant. It serves filafel, hommous, fool, omelettes and salad and not all that much else.
It is usually crowded by locals grabbing a quick bite before rushing off to do something, while the seats are all taken by men either reading the paper or playing backgammon!
In other words it is full of local colour!
If it is too noisy for you, there is a "family room" upstairs, where ladies can sit quietly. the service, I add, isn't all that marvellous up here, it is a good idea to leave your order at the counter downstaires before you climb up.
If you just want a filafel sandwich, take it and eat it in the garden near the fountain on the other side of the road. There are lots of seats in the shade
