This is my favorite shot when we went here. I even went to the other side of the trail just to take a shot of them walking like ants under the heat of the sun. I was really wasted on this trip, we took around 10 hours to reach the campsite, then another 2 hours going to the crater, whew! Not to mention that we didnt had sleep at all because we came straight from work. I was in the office on Friday night because i work on graveyard then after work...i met Jano, Edmon, Lemuel, Grace and Diego at around 6am and this is Saturday in Ayala, Makati,( same Palawan team, except that David ) then we took a bus going to Pampanga, stopped at Dau and ride again going to Angeles, we ride in a big truck going to Porac then started trekking, after 10 hours, we reached the campsite at around 6pm of Saturday, man i really didnt had any sleep!!! (24 hrs awake). We had a few drinks that night, then we went back to our tents when it started raining, its pretty hard to sleep because, i think there were 5 of us in a tent where its supposed to be just for 3 persons, not to mention the rocks thats bumping at your back. Sunday 6am, trek again going crater ( see pic on right ). After crater, went back to the campsite, break camp , then go back to the jump off. Too bad because we have to walk again for another 10 hours because what we did before is more on trekking not climbing, and this is where my knees failed. |
| | The Crater I think there are two ways to go to Mt Pinatubo, one way is to go to Tarlac and youll end up in the crater itself, another way is in Porac, and youll be on top of the crater. The picture here is the actual crater, a view from the top, if you can just see, the 360 degree view, it was very spectacular. You will forget every bit problem that you have in your mind, a very nice way to free yourself from stress. The colors around us were so bright because it was rainy season. |
| | Falls One good thing on this trek is that there are lots of waterfalls along he trail, i think there were 3 big waterfalls. There are lots of water sources and there are good spots to eat lunch or rest. |
