"Modern city in the middle of nowhere" a Xining Travel Page by beaverk

I arrived in Xining after a really long trip traveling from Chengdu to Qing Hai, then to the eastern Tibetan border. From Xining I was going to catch a flight back to Beijing. I was completely exhusted and arrrived late at night after a tiring 26 hours car ride through really rough road condition. So I was just happy there was a three star hotel with a decently soft bed and a shower. I left next morning at six to the airport so I did not have time to take pictures or remember even what was the name of the hotel I stayed at. All I remember was that the population seems to be more non-Chinese than Chinese. I will have to go back and find out more about this exotic city. However, I did traveled throughout QIng Hai and took alot of pictures. Part of that trip is documented in the travelogue below. Plus I have posted quite a few pictures I took throughout my trip.
