Merano

We only planned to go to Merano for a day trip. Then my dad had an emergency and landed in the hospital there for 6 days. My mother's relatives came from southern Italy to help get me organized, into a hotel within walking distance of the hospital, etc. Merano is a beautiful, safe, charming town. The hospital is very impressive. When my dad checked out, he said that the American hospitals should come over and take a look at how a hospital should be run.
