History Shines in Macon

My friend and I went to Macon this spring. We parked downtown and walked around to see the historic old homes found here. There are also beautiful parks and flower displays here as well as Cherry Trees.

Flowers Shine in spring in Macon

My friend and I went to Macon mainly to see the display of blooming Cherry Trees in this southern city. They were quite impressive along the tour where you see most of the cherry trees but we found that the downtown Cherry Trees had already bloomed earlier. There are beautiful parks here that are beautifully landscaped with flowers. When we were there, there were displays of tulips, pansies and cabbages. Azaleas, Dogwoods, and Redbuds were also blooming.

Hi Anne. Macon looks like a perfect day trip in the spring. St. Joseph Cathedral reminds me of Sacred Heart in Augusta. They were done about the same time with the same history - maybe? Enjoyed your Macon page! Marcia
