We traveled through Kentucky for several days on our way north on vacation. It is a beautiful country in early summer with lush horse pastures with white fences around green grass that gives new meaning to green. There are also fields of yellow flowers punctuated by red barns and white farms. We stopped at one field and realized that the yellow flowers are fields of thousands of Golden Ragwort blooming in June. In another area we saw a Wild Turkey strutting along the county road. It's truly beautiful farm country.
