The oldest inhabited city in South America

Indian flag
Cuzco is without any dobut one of the most interesting cities in south america. Capital city of the ancient Inca Empire and olddest inhabited city in all America.

Many people comes to Cuzco for a pair of days and they stay for a week or more, you´ll see the mixture between the inca and colonial architecture everywhere.

The nightlife is incredible, you can go on party every night until morning, and you'll fin many diferent types of music depending on the pub you are.

If you are going to Machu Picchu you can't miss Cuzco!!
Talking to the llamas. ;-P

HOW TO GO TO CUSCO I

Before we went to Peru, we didn't know exactly how to go to Machu Picchu. We read many different possibilities in the Internet, but non of them was too clear. So I´ll try to explain how we went to the Hidden Inca City as clear as possible.
We knew two girls in Titicaca who were working in Cuzco for two months in an ONG, and they explained us how to go there watching other inca ruins by the way.
You only can go by car from Cuzco to Ollantaytambo (Ollanta), then you have to take the super expensive train to Aguas Calientes or go on foot. There are no cars in Aguas Calientes, all this is perfectly planed of course, I mean, if you want to go to Machu Picchu you have to pay for the train or go walking for hours. Most popular choice to go to Machu Picchu is take the train directly in Cuzco to go to Aguas Calientes, but if you like adventure or you don´t have plenty money I wouldn´t recomend this option.
In the bus

HOW TO GO TO CUSCO II

The plan is the following one:
Go from Cuzco to Ollantaytambo by bus and taxi watching other ruins such as Moray, Pisaq, Salinas, etc by the way.
Once in Ollanta take the last train to Aguas Calientes and sleep there.
Wake up early in the morning to take the first bus to Machu Picchu. Stay there until 14:00 more or less.
Take the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollanta in the evening and return from Ollanta to Cuzco by bus and van.
