"..one of us.....one of us....one of us...."

Come to Southsea and let us make you "one of us". Southsea, is on a little island off the coast called Portsmouth, connected to the mainland by a couple of bridges. The happnin' and groovy place to be is the Albert Road area, where you can drink yourself silly, before staggering into a quietly suffering Indian restaraunt to have a vindaloo. This accomplished, its off into the street to yell loudly at cars and then perhaps puke up and fall over. Why not round it all of with a trip to Joanna's Nightclub? Here you can catch something awful and get beaten up.
Or
If perhaps you dont only drink lager, resist the urge to wear your shirt over your trousers, and only rarely vandalise my car, you might enjoy some of the nicer points of Southsea. These are, The Royal Exchange, my local. Its been upgraded, some nice sofas, an impossible quiz and weird vodka. The Citrus Cafe, run by a man from Wexford. Ottakers, where you can read a book while swilling coffee. Old Portsmouth, where there are many drinks to be had in seafaring surroundings. Last but not least, the Balti house on Albert Road. Always friendly and ready with a table no matter how pushed they are. Plus, you can bring in your own booze. Hooray!

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Character...
  • Cons:If you only drink lager and wear your shirt over your trousers, you'll fit right in.
  • In a nutshell:"Aaaaaarr! Jim lad." Its a way of life in Portsmouth....
