Seoul is the capital of South Korea.
It is a city with huge buildings.
The caterpillar -like building in the photo [on the left] is the symbol of the silk industry in Korea. |
|  | Mulberry The silk industry is an old one , and Korea produces quantities of this fabric.
Silkworms eat huge amounts of mulberry leaves when they are at the caterpillar stage, so large farms supply this crop.
When the cocoons are ready, they are taken to spin the fibre into thread. |
Rice Rice is the staple diet of most of the Asian continent.
Rice fields are flooded to help the rice grow ,so the plains are often filled with farms growing this commodity. | | |
