The amount of work that went into building them, the complexity of their design and the difficulty of cuttting and manipulating the huge blocks makes the mind boggle. |

Now all that has changed since the construction of the Aswan High Dam, But, the people of Cairo still enjoy the river. Craft sail up it all day and night, people walk or sit beside it.
