This picture is in Sikasso, Mali. I went to Mali with my partners in a promotions company called Farafina Productions. Farafina promote shows around the world. The picture is of Mohomed Toure, Frank Thornton, Shakil (the artist that performed), some people that we traveled with, some people from the Peace Corps, and myself.

After we did shows in Bamako, Sikasso, and Mopti, we asked the Toure family if we can stay and they received us with open arms. The Toure family stays in the Hamdelye section of Bamako, Mali. They was kind enough to give us an apartment in the Lafiabougou section of Bamako. This picture is of a handful of the Toure family.

The LOX

These little guys call themselves the Lox. They used the name of a New Jersey based rap group, because they liked their music. These little guys are like my little brothers. They were so funny. It's funny how you can communicate with voice tones and hand guestures.
