My country was a place of apartheid. Racial discrimination was the law. We were segregated because of the colours of our skin.
We could not vote, couldn't get the same education as 'whites' ... couldn't use the same bench or transport and people that disobeyed these laws were treated harshly ( ISN"T THIS SIMILAR TO PALESTINE)........................... But all that has changed , we now 10 years into democracy with probably the best constitution in the world.
Peace is possible , we moved into this with the assistance of our former president , NELSON MANDELA, a man with oceans of forgiveness and a vision of the future.

I was born in this beautiful 'fast paced' city.
Its home.
What can i say it can be the best of places and the worst.
The media always emphasise the bad in Johannesburg but there are many
Positives:
- People are generally warm and friendly.
-Probably has the best weather in the world.
-Built up with an excellent infrastructure to rival some 1st world cities.
-Jhb international airport
-Shopping
-Cultural Diversity
-Relatively cheap
-Beautiful
-Museums
-Botanical Gardens
-Rivers, Dams , Zoos
-etc etc

Negatives:
Crime
and more of it

The sea, the mountain, te mixing of the oceans. the lanscape, the people, the food , the eye candy at every turn.
This is fast becoming the most sought after holiday destination.
