"Good Day for a Challenge!" Centre Hall by KiKitC

Centre Hall Travel Guide: 3 reviews and 9 photos

We were invited to visit Penn's Cave Cavern and Wildlife Park, located in Centre Hall, PA, to see about organizing a Land Rover rally.

The wildlife preserve has 1,500 acres populated with bison, mountain lion, bear and turkey, among other animals. The cavern is North America's only all water cavern. The Penn's Creek Spring floods this limestone cave before it runs downstream on the Penns Creek.

The day we visited, it was half raining/half snowing, never a perfect day for trail riding. Bill and Brian still led our group out on trails that wind through the preserve, offering another challenge around every bend.

But, what a place to bring your family! The cavern tour is entertaining and informative. The wildlife tour allows visitors to see animals in near natural settings, as well as learn from experts about the conservation efforts of each species.
