Winter Haven Travel Guide: 28 reviews and 153 photos
Winter Haven is southwest of Orlando, and Northeast of Tampa...and is dotted by numerous lakes. It used to be the home of Cypress Gardens, and Eden-like garden highlighting the beauty of Florida's flora. But, like many beautiful places we remember as an escape from the bustle of everyday life...condos now dominate the landscape.
Of course, Cypress Gardens Adventure Park (amusement park) still operates.
We're lucky enough to have family members here. Dad spends the cold months here...can't say I blame him for that. And my sister-in-law lives and operates a chiropractic/holistic healing center here.
Since Winter Haven has so many lakes, ans is close to the Gulf of Mexico, expect to find great seafood everywhere you go.
