"End of the Line" Vladivostok by flynboxes

This is where the fun ends. Depending on what you take, the direct train from Moscow or break it up with stops in Siberia as I did..this it it. It is not the most popular stop since connections to the west are less than from China. At the time I was there, Korean Air had 2-3 flights a week to Seoul.
I arrived before sunrise from Ulan Ude and felt a little strange at the end and maybe disappoined or sad. When you are in a confined space with folks for a period of time you begin to bond or build freindships with them. I met some great people on the train both foreigners and local Russians. As a traveler you get over it since this is part of traveling but it still jolts the system a bit.

This city was once closed to Westerners due to it's military significance to the Russians but it has since changed. While it has it's seedy side due to the naval element in town it still has it's charm. It has been discribed as Russia's San Francisco with it's hillside development and inland waterways. It has limited costal access and the sea water is rumored to be a bit polluted.
