More polished than the Hilton and other Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

I did not stay here and will only stay at places like this for work but if you can afford it and want to remain in the isolated tourist bubble this is the place. It is more polished than the government run Hilton behind it and you pay accordingly.

Unique Qualities: I was here to get cash.
It has an ATM in the lobby that takes Western cards (Plus symbol).
If you enter from the front walk past the checkin desk on the left and it's off to the right hand side of the checkin desk if I recall correctly?

If I had my choice I would stay at the Sheraton. It's nice but a bit more broken in than the nearby Sheraton

Unique Qualities: There is an ATM that takes Western cards and there is a KLM office here with some great staff who helped me get home

Stayed here might first night in Addis. After midnight sometime the water and power went off.
Had to catch a flight at 05:00 and it was a blast dressing and packing up my bag by camera light. The rooms are simple and clean. Considering it's right in the heart of Piazza it's a good value and had I not been spooked by getting bit on the shoulder by something that night I probably would have stayed here for all of my days in Addis.

Unique Qualities: There is a great cafe on the ground floor as well as Nina's internet in the back which makes the place a winner

Stayed here a few nights. It has an overpriced restaurant, gym, bar with pool tables upstairs.
If you are going to stay hear I would go for the first floor rooms which are a bit nicer with tiled floors and generally in better shape. I stayed in two rooms. First room had a shower with a a busted hotwater tap..had to wiggle it a bit to get it to work. Second room had no toilet seat and even after I told the front desk about it...they were still unable to install one after 2 days.

Unique Qualities: The girls at the front desk are nice and the place has a general apperance of cleanliness but comparing the 2nd-3rd floor rooms to the Wutma..Wutma is $20 cheaper and a better value.
