"Blue Nile Falls" a T'is Isat Travel Page by flynboxes

Blue Nile Falls is about a hour drive by car from Bahir Dar or you can take a mini bus to the town and then depending on which way you go another 30 min to 2 hour hike to the falls. I went the short way with Solomon and still had fun...this is where I really got the feel I was in Africa. There is a dam upstream which has reduced the falls to the extent that some people say it is a waste of time to visit but I disagree. Yes it would have been great to be here when the tap was on full but the economics or $$$ the dam brings in in local revenue make this unlikely any time soon.
