Guanajuato city is one of the most ancient cities in Mexico. If you are looking for a colonial view, this is the place you must be looking for.

The city is small and you can visit the main interesting places in one weekend. Also is perfect for a romantic weekend with your special someone.

Ohh I'm forgeting... The main festival call "Festival Cervantino" is one of the greates festivals you will find, the main idea is to visit the cultural shows beacuse that's why is make for, trying to strong the internation cultural issues. Unfortunatly nowadays is taken as a big party were nobody is intersting to know more about this shows. So if you go by October , please try some of them, and you will be heping that this old cultural proyect can continue for as long as is now.

Guanajuato is a city where definitly you have to walk, streets are really small and the best way to visit the city is walking, besides there is no need of public transportation into the downtown 'cuase everthing is near.
