First Impressions Somehow, somewhere, Americans got the impression that Parisians are rude, unhelpful and dislike everyone but the French. There is nothing further from the truth.
In the 20 years I've been traveling to Paris, every person with whom I've interacted has been nothing short of gracious, kind and genuinely lovely. The key is to attempt to speak French, or at least let someone know "Pardon, mais je ne parle pas le francais." That simple phrase will forever show your respect for the language, as well as the French people themselves. |
OK- I'm Not an Expert My opinions are just that...my opinions. I am an admitted Francophile and there is nothing about the France I do not love.
I have traveled to Paris numerous times, as well as Normandy, Belgium and Spain. Paris will forever remain my favorite city anywhere, so I'm happy to share any and all suggestions for traveling, dining, tourist spots, etc. |
