"Border between Sweden and Denmark pre 1658" Markaryd by larserik1
Markaryd Travel Guide: 4 reviews and 5 photos
The old 'Snapphane areas' where bloody battles were fought between Sweden and Denmark before 1658. After that Scania belongs to Sweden. These forests are sparesly inhabited and the people have made it easy for the postman by putting all postboxes at one place. It is a rather common thing in the countryside in Sweden in fact.
- Pros:Interesting historic area in the deep forests
- Cons:Beware of the elks on the roads
