As in many places also here in Bavaria there is no contradiction between the holy places and the production of tasty alcohol. One famous place is the Monastry of Ettal. Here different kind of beers can be bought in the shops around the monastry made in the monastries brewery. But of course this has not been the main reason for me to pass by here. The church of the Monastry is extremely beautiful with its rich paintings and art. I highly recommend you to stop by if you are around. There is a parking just below the monastry from where it is just 100 meters to walk to the entrance of the building complex.
