Frankfurt am Main Travel Guide: 1,667 reviews and 3,684 photos
As you might have seen on my homepage did I grew up in Neu-Anspach, which is about 40 kilometers north of Franfurt. For me Frankfurt with its skyline of its huge buildings became a symbol for home, not just because here I have spent my first second on earth. Nowadays when I drive home for a visit, seeing the skyscrapers means that I am soon arriving. Especially on summer evenings, when the sunlight gets reflected from the glass windows, the skyline is something special.
Let's see when I am in town next time to take some photos. For now I only have pics of the Palmengarten, a garden containing glass houses housing plants from around the world....
This is the TV-tower of Francfort. It is open for public and you can take an elevator inside to reach the platform. Also the Maintower in downtown you can go up to have a perfect view onto the town and beyond.
- Pros:Great architecture
- Cons:Nice parts of town a little hidden.
