  • In case you are not European Union citizen and visiting the beautiful area around Oberstdorf, you should be aware that you might cross the border to Austria without noticing. So it might be helpful to check if you are allowed to go there. It might sound a bit rediculous, but if it prevents to mess up your holidays due to these issues, it is worth it.
    It happend to me several times that I found myself on Austrian ground. The tip applies of course for both directions.
