| Me in the Alps, Nesselwaengle. |
In the Tannheimer Tal I found Nesselwängle as the perfect starting point for a great hiking tour with a splendit scenery. The mountains dominating the Tannhaeimer Tal at the village Nesselwängle are the Rote Fluh. The hiking path has signs and is in my opinion pretty easy to find. The first part leads up to the Gimplehaus and further to the Tannheimer Hütte. In both places you can have a nice rest in the alpine landscape and get some drink. The second part leads further in the same altitude along the mountain chain toward the east. After approximately 3-4 kilometers there is a way down back to Nesselwängle. I really like this tour and did it already several times. As always do not forget to bring some water with you for the way (1-2 liters!!) . It can get pretty hot as the way up to the Gimpelhaus is steep and there is no shadow.
My travelogues combine two hiking trips, one in April and one in summer. Also because I really enjoy the nature I opened a seperate travelogue with flowers and animals I saw on the hiking trips. I am sure you will like it!
The picture above was taken between the Gimpelhaus, which you can see in the background and the Tannheimer Hütte. |
