This destination actually refers to the whole island, with places like Ramberg, town of Flakstad and Nusfjord, but I dedicate this page only to the town of Flakstad and its beach as the other locatians have a seperate page on VT...

Flakstad is a small village close to a very beautiful, wide and really white beach with cristal clear blue water. With the mountains in the background and some nice weather you can feel like some thousand kilometers more south. It is really recommendable to come here, but if you plan to travel all the Lofoten you will need to come here anyway as it is located close to the E10 and for this part of the road there is no alternative.

Close to the beach at the 'outskirts' of Flakstad you will also find the small church, which is pretty nice with its red color. Unfortunately it was not open and as we heard the keys are some kilometers away. Anyway it is worth to come here for a short while.

During your time here, as well as in most otherplaces on Lofoten keep your eyes open for it beautiful and amazing birds. Here at the beach I have seen my second wild eagle. It had a white head, so I guess it was a sea eagle.
