Anyone thinking of Sweden probably has the red colored wooden houses in his or her mind. This red color has made Falun wellknown as it is made of the copper taken off the ground in this middle swedish town.
The area of the mine is open for visitors who can explore the deep hole by a guided tour. I did this and was fascinated. There are very interesting stories told and you will acccess parts of the mine which are 300 years old.
Highly recommended!
