"Vimmerby - Town of Astrid Lindgren" Vimmerby by gubbi1

Known world wide and being a part of my childhood the stories of Astrid Lindgren were in my mind when I got the idea that I needed to pass by Vimmerby, the home town of Astrid Lindgren. Not knowing exactly what there is to see I stopped in town center to have a look around. On the main square close to the tourist information I found a nice monument to remember Astrid Lindgren. Also there are some nice buildings. From the tourist information I found that there is the house of Astrid Lindgrens childhood, just a little off the town center. The place is called Astrid Lindgrens Näs. There are several buildings to be visited and a museum dedicated to the stories of Astrid Lindgren. I think it is a must-see if you are in the region as these beautiful stories even nowadays are so popular and influence the fantasy of the children so much.
