We didn't manage to get a travel permit for Tibet, but there was no other option - we just knew we wanted to do that. Crossing from the Chinese province of Yunan, hiking around various checkpoints, we were hitchhiking through Tibet. The entry below comes from my book |

The Tibetans are real good walker, I met one walked all the way from Lhasa to Dharmsala. Asked why, no money he said. |
