My ex-boyfriend and his best friend (who was dating my best friend) used to live in Daytona, and so we would go up there to visit him quite a bit.
Daytona is a beach town all the way - even the ultra-oppressive Embry Riddle University couldn't cool that. And, since they are actually on the ocean, you can surf there (not so much for the side of Florida I am from). |

Your picture of Daytona is pretty accurate...altho we found some lovely sane spots during the years my son lived there. BTW...he graduated Embry. |
