Bay / Beaches: Foggy day at the Montara Beach
  • Tip Rating:
  • Friends took us to Montara beach just 20 minutes away from SF. It was a welcome trip cuz we needed to get out of the city...

The drive to the Beach was beautiful and scenic, despite of the fog.

Going to the beach in Northern California means: don't forget to bring your jacket.

    Things To Do: Land's End
  • Tip Rating:
  • I finally went to Land's End... I hopped on the Muni #38 that runs up Geary St and stayed untill the last stop (Geary and 48th Ave... make sure to hop on the #38L (that is 38Limited) which has fewer stops and will get you there much faster!

I first read about Land's End in the MisterSF pages (go to "High on a Hill" and select "Land's End") and when I saw pics I just knew that I had to go there...

Walk towards the sea and you will see a parking lot and then you will see directions for the trails... I did the coastal trial and got some magnificent views!

Address: It is near the Cliff House!
Directions: take Muni Bus #38 heading West and will get off at Point Lobos (Geary and 48th St) . From there walk towards the sea. You will see a parking lot and it is at the end of the parking lot towards the sea.

LOL, we had the same impression with Fisherman's Barf! HA HA HA! Overrated, entirely too crowded, noisy and smelly!
