Sharm el sheikh is right at the southern tip of the sinai peninsula, stuck st the eastern edge of the sinai desert on the gulf of aqaba 'finger' of the Red Sea. It is a beautiful place with an atmosphere all of its own. The people are really friendly and make you feel very welcome. 'Old Sharm' gives you a good feel for Egyptian culture with its bazaars and busy streets. Naama Bay is its little sister resort 6km to the north which is full of lovely hotels, bars and restaurants. |
