Vatra Dornei is a ski resort in the Carpathanian mountains. We went to Vatra Dornei by train, coming from Gura Humorului, a small city in Bucovina. The trip lasted little more then two hours; from the train we saw lots of people people working the land, in many cases with horse ploughs.

Vatra Dornei, centre

Vatra Dornei besides a ski resort is a spa resort. Though the centre is attractive and nice to walk around, it has seen better times then today; lots of beautiful buildings are in decay.
The region around the town is very nice; there are marked hiking routes.

This is not just a "building". It used to be the center of cultural activities (theater ), in Vatra Dornei, called the Casino. A beautiful building inside and outside. How can it remain so neglected ? Residents please restore the building and town.
