    Getting TO/AROUND: If you are traveling on a cruise ship and thus stopping in Malta for just a day or even less, then the best place to go is Valletta, which is not far, and within walking distance. If on the other hand you would like to go to some other place, like Mdina or Rabat, it would be best if you book an excursion on board, since they are a bit further away, and at the terminal you will find only taxis and the horse drawn cabs.

    Getting TO/AROUND: These yellow buses here are Malta's public transport. The main bus terminus is in Valletta from where the buses operate to all parts of Malta. The cost of a bus route start from 20 cents but you can buy One-Day, Five-Day or Seven-Day Special Tickets. With these you will have unrestricted travel throughout the covered period. If you are using this transport in Malta, have small change ready and ... don't expect friendly drivers :| Check also the scheduled time of the bus route you will be using, because some routes might be every half-hour and others might be every hour. You will find a list of all the bus routes if you go to the website below - click “Traveling in Malta” and “Routes”.

    Getting TO/AROUND: Take the "Karozzin" for a leisure trip around. Don't forget to decide the price before and bargain with them ok! You will find them virtually in all the tourist areas in Malta.

    Getting TO/AROUND: Taxis in Malta are a bit expensive so I don't recommend... but if you really have to, agree beforehand to the price you will be paying and check that the meter is on!

    Getting TO/AROUND: I went to Sicily with the Catamaran twice and really enjoyed it. It's cheaper than the aeroplane and fast too, but just don't do it in bad weather if you don't want to feel sick!!! They organise excursions to Mount Etna, Catania, Pozzallo, Taormina, Modica and Agriturismo and you can book from all agents here in Malta.

     Thank you for posting this. I would have been very angry if I spend thousands to come visit Malta, just to be constrained from leisurely. I'm off to find another country to visit this year.
