Khao Lak Beach
This picture was taken on 30th December - after the tsunami. I had no idea how severe the damage was until I got there. From this viewpoint it still looked quite beautiful. A different story became apparent as we arrived at the bay.

Lovely description.
The most fabulous Tina from down under, How are you ?
Excellent pictures and information
Tina I have just looked at these photographs with my husband and we still can't believe that it did happen. It was so tragic.I'm glad rebuilding has progressed so well. Helen
Surrealistic... watching the news + the storries to the ones returning to Norway... Luckily the charter planes here filled up when they were allowed to retur. The locals need normal life incl tourists keep on visit them.
It was just the most devestating thing that could have happened. It doesnt matter how many photos you see, talking to the Thai people and seeing the huge impact it has had on their lives, is heartbreaking.
