Frankfurt

Opern Plaza - Frankfurt
After leaving Bali we flew into Frankfurt for 3 nights, I contacted a girl I used to work with here in Australia, she was german and her husband Scotish, they had moved back to Germany when their first son was born, I hadn't seen her for 10 years, I remembered where they had moved to so when we got to Frankfurt I looked her up in the phone book, we had a lovely reunion and they showed us around Bad Neuheim & Freidberg.

Bad Nuheim & Freidberg

We had a lovely day visiting with Ingrid James & their family, they took us out for lunch, then for a walk through the park where we saw our first squirrel. On the way back home we went to Freidberg which was very interesting, lots of lovely old buildings, nothing like this at home!

We were told that wrong doers were thrown from the tower of Freidberg Castle, glad we didn't live in that era.

Judging from the first photo, I'd say you were in the city of Frankfurt am Main, Hessen, and not in the village of Frankfurt, Bavaria. Glad you had a good time here, in any case.
